Estate agents!

What sort of service do you receive from your estate agent? Do they keep in touch with you and give you updates, communicate with you? We've had our property on since May and only had two viewings. We never hear from estate agents unless we contact them. Is this the norm?

It shouldn't be. I would give them notice and find someone who is more pro-active. September, October and the first half of November are some of the best selling months no matter what the market is like.

My first one was crap until I kicked up a fuss and got the manager out. After that I started to get more viewings but they still weren't brilliant. Changed to a different one and they were much better - still not great. It is worth calling them on a weekly basis to keep your property at the front of your mind.

Why not get a friend to call them pretending to be looking for something in the price range and area yours is and see what happens. If they don't put yours forward then you know you need to change

My first agent were awful, imagine Stath. Second agent has been so much better. If you're not happy, I wouldn't hesitate to switch.
