Any thoughts for a few days away?

We have a few days off at the beginning of December (Wednesday to Sunday) and we want to go away for a few days. We are having some issues as Centre Parcs etc only let you book Monday-Friday or over the weekend etc. Not just a random few days.

We have two kids, 4 and 2 so needs to be family friendly. We are in Scotland so liking for something maybe in the North of England?

Any ideas?

A lot of self catered options do same as center parcs. Might be better looking at hotels? Keswick or ambleside or East coast maybe or a city break, Newcastle, York or Liverpool?
