Can anyone help with quick tea/supper ideas?

Dd is starting school this week. She gets a good, but small portion of school dinner and a snack (sandwich quarters and fruit) at after school club. We’ll get home around 5ish, so I need to give her something but i doubt she’ll eat a big dinner. I’ve got pesto pasta and a hummous picky bits plate so far but I’m stuck! She doesn’t eat egg Hmm

I’m sure it’s been done before, but I can’t find anything using search.

The humble toasty is popular here.

I buy the Warburton's toastie pockets. Add ham and grated cheese. Into sandwich vag and freeze them.

They go straight in the toaster on frozen setting. Add salad or hummus and crudités. Sorted.

Mine love:

Pitta pizzas
Jacket potatoes with various toppings
Kedgeree (don't use too much curry powder and load it up with peas)
Falafels & couscous & salad (my DC bizarrely love salad!)
They like that thing were you cut up hotdog sausages and thread spahghetti through it before cooking it. Mix the cooked pasta & dogs with a cheesey sauce and loads of sweetcorn. It's called "magic pasta" in my house.
Fish fingers, potato waffles & frozen veg
Salmon & pea pasta bake
Chicken fried rice (use a pouch of rice and load it with veg)

School dinners are TINY. Mine eat a normal dinner. They seem to be ravenous when they get out of school.

These are such good ideas! Thank you!

@BelindasGleeTeam sandwich vag 😂. I always knew women were multitaskers but that’s a new step..

Cheesy peasy pasta - cook pasta, add frozen peas for the last couple of minutes, drain and throw grated cheese over. They love it for some reason, and it's quick, easy and contains veg.

My kids love a bowl is sushi rice with chopped smoked salmon, avocado and cucumber. Plus little bowls of wasabi, soy, ginger and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Sounds wanky I know.

Or plan something for the day before that will reheat, so a mini portion of stew and mash.

My DS loves fried halloumi, with raw cucumber and carrot sticks with an egg cup of sweet chilli sauce to dip it all in. 10 minutes of chopping/ frying and all done. I know you said your little one doesn't like egg, but I love fried halloumi with a fried egg too - delicious!
