Best electric toothbrush

Looking for recommendations for a new electric toothbrush please. I previously had an oral B years ago (got it as a gift) but couldn't source the replacement heads successfully.
Anyone got any good recommendations please? I don't mind spending money to get a good one.

The standard round Oral B heads seem to be everywhere. Were yours a special kind?

My Oral B died after a few months. Wouldn't get another one. Expensive waste of money.

Old style ones with batteries lasted much longer and I am going to get another of those or continue with a manual one. My father still had his own teeth at 82 and never had a fancy toothbrush.

@DontCallMeShitley that's great re your dad - I have good teeth and want them to stay that way and from watching the ads about how the 'motorised' bristles clean in all the hard to reach areas I'd like to try this method.

I agree that the charging was a faff with oral b also

Both my sonicares broke within the two year guarantee period due to battery failure. John Lewis have replaced it twice free and I am now on my third one. Our oral b of the same age has never been replaced.

Yes, I have had problems with one breaking in the past… Keep your receipt. You can get them for £100 on offer. I have justified this by hopefully having a reduced dental treatment bill 😆

Oral b heads are easier and cheaper to source than sonicare. Every supermarket I go into has oral b heads. I have just got an oral b toothbrush for both DS and myself and we are both very happy with them.

Can't vouch for its longevity yet, but I've just replaced my broken OralB with a Fairywill - sonic but the same price as a basic OralB. I think I saw them recommended on here. So far very impressed but as I say, too early to tell whether it will last.

I have a sonicare, it's good. You can get cheaper generic toothbrush heads from Tescos.

The Superdrug own brand one produced better results in trials than the more expensive ones. We've got one and it is just as good.

And it's half price at the moment.

The charge is guaranteed to last for a month and it charges with a standard usb so even if it does need charging on holiday you can do it with your phone charger.

I'm on my second Oral-B in around 25 years. At one point my wife had a Sonicare. It lasted a few months before packing up and being returned. Never had a problem getting the Oral-B heads.

does take some getting used to though - the vibration in your mouth is strange

Philips sonicare, I tried the oral b but always go back to sonicare, just a basic one will do the trick.

Any sonicare. Miles better than oral b.
