Bedbugs and paranoia

Visited an extremely crowded/touristy park today, sat on a bench for 30+ mins, felt something brush/tap (?) the underside of my leg just below the folded hemline of my shorts, and I'm now paranoid that I've brought bedbugs home. The fact that I've spent the past 2 hours or so strewn across my sofa whilst wearing said shorts definitely doesn't quell my fears!

Logically, I'm thinking what I felt was probably one of the many other (less frightening) insects you'd find in parks. But a part of me wonders if that's just wishful thinking.

Yes, I've been Googling bedbugs and parks. Yes, it's making everything worse. Sad

I wouldn't assume bedbug outside.
I think you'd be better googling 'intrusive thoughts'.

Normally, I wouldn't either. Having seen all those articles about bedbugs on public transports though (www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/aug/19/bedbugs-heatwave-sparks-plage-pest-infestation for example), I can't help but wonder.
