What's the uniform like? SIL start there soon and she's confused what to buy, except black or white shirts.
She said they give guidance on what's acceptable but she doesn't have much spare cash to buy it.
I've told her to look in charity shops but is there anything she needs to know?

I worked there for a while, the guidance is business dress (what you would wear in an office) so smart trousers in black, grey or navy, same with dresses. Shirts can be white or black, you could have short sleeves or long sleeves. If she wanted to wear a top,it has to be smart again in white or black. You can not show your boobs, midriff or bum cheeks,skirts/dresses have to be knee length and hosiery is nude or black.
No patterns on tops/shirts so no polka dots but pinstripes are allowed if ina trouser/dress or skirt. Shoes must be comfy as she will be on her feet all day so a low to mid heel.
Try Select,New Look or supermarkets for cheap clothes.
Make up must be natural and jewelry kept to minimum.
Hope this helps and good luck to sil!

Primary do work trousers for £5 black, different leg lengths and shapes. I’m pretty sure you could get a blouse there for about £6 as well.
