Giving up fizzy drinks

I have a really bad addiction to fizzy drinks, especially pepsi max. I can easily drink 2 litres a day. Plus flavoured sparkling water, energy drinks etc.

I stopped drinking it 4 days ago and I am suffering. I've had a banging headache for 2 days, I feel exhausted despite getting 7-10 hours sleep each night, no appetite, feel quite irritable too. I don't feel poorly but I do feel like shit.

A glass of pepsi max gulped down in the kitchen while hiding from the kids was like a brief moment of bliss. My coworkers have cigarette breaks and I have pop breaks.

I'm trying to keep myself distracted so I don't nip to the shop and buy some.

I have always drank 2 litres of plain water a day (not including any fizzy drinks) but now I'm drinking 4. I have a 1 litre water bottle and I track it in an app every time I refill. I'm 3/4 through my 3rd litre already today. My mouth is so dry and I feel really thirsty still!

Has anyone else felt this bad when giving up pop? Please tell me it's gonna pass soon!

I really want to tackle my sugar & chocolate addiction before the end of the year too.

I'm really unhealthy and I want to get my arse in gear!
