Can you help me with buying a gaming PC?

My 14yo son is big into PC gaming, and since splitting with my IT-pro ex, I have nobody I can ask or trust with where to go and what to buy for a good, reliable, mid-range gaming PC.

I know it's possible to buy separate components and create something myself, but I have no knowledge of any of these and not the interest/time/brain space to do so.

I'd rather buy something ready-made.

Any tips or help would be much appreciated!

This is a great company: www.scan.co.uk/

I have bought both components from them and had them build PCs for me from my own spec.
They have a wide range of price options. You can either buy one of their basic ready made systems or choose different options for them to build it for you.

They will only put components together that work together. They build it all, can install the operating system and will then do a test run of the systems. There are loads of optional extras and it does a running total so that you know exactly how much each thing will add/remove from the total as well.
I have been using them for 10+ years and would always recommend them :)
