Slides or sliders? And where in the country are you?

DH (Northern) calls them slides.
Me (South-East) calls them sliders.

It’s causing an argument - who is right?

Crikey. Backless sandals is probably what I'd call them. Never heard of slides/sliders!

These are flip flops

I call that style Mandals or Flip flops.

Shops call them slides.

Pool shoes...I have a swimmer in the family! This is what the swim club called them on the kit list. Although they are called sliders by Adidas etc.
