NowTV Troubles

Bear with me because I am not very good with technology! I've only just got to grips with Netflix and Prime

DH & I fancied watching Chernobyl and have run out of good Netflix series so a few days ago, I took the plunge and bought a six month entertainment subscription with NowTV.

So far, so good! We assumed the Firestick would have a NowTV app but have obviously now realised that it most certainly does not! Never fear, I say to DH, I have seen a NowTV app on the Vision box. However, this refuses to open and a bit of Googling suggests that older boxes won't play NowTV.

Do we have to buy a NowTV stick thing and switch them in and out of our (old smart) TV? 🤔 Or is there some other way I can use the Firestick? I feel like I'm missing a trick...

I have a now tv stick which I can use to watch Netflix (but not Amazon Prime).
You can watch Now TV online but you are limited on the amount of devices you can watch it on.

Do you have a tablet you can watch it on? Obviously its not a huge screen though. You can buy the boxes fairly cheap and normally get another pass with it.

Do you have a ps4 or an xbox one? You can watch it through there too

I use a Roku plug in with little remote! Has all the apps on it!

If you have a chrome stick - you can cast it from your phone or tablet to the telly. They are 100x better than the Nowtv stick thing which I was given free, took 2 days to upgrade itself and then refused to let me what anything. The chrome stick will cast All4, ITVhub, Netflix, iplayer - bascially everything but Amazon Prime.

Aah right, thank you! So I do need some kind of stick then. Does the Roku do Amazon Prime too? That would be perfect 👌

Roku has: Prime, Netflix, NowTv, all major terrestrial channels, UKTV play, News channels, TV Player app and lots of other ones I've never used.

Also YouTube app
