School uniform

Hi all.
My daughter starts reception next week. We have purchased all of her uniform from the high street, except for a couple of bit we have had to get from school as they are logo'd.

So obvs at the moment the supermarkets and places like debenhams and m&s are full of school uniform. However, I dont seem to remember uniform being in the shops for the rest if the year.

So my question is what do u do if they grow during the year and need bigger sizes of things? Do u stock up on the sizes now to cover the year? Do u have to resort to actual school shops? Or do the supermarkets and high street actually have uniform throughout the year and I just havent noticed?

Sorry if this is a really silly question. First dc at school, and I am an over preparer Blush

Thank you.

I got DS's uniform (polo shirts, trousers/shorts etc) mostly from Asda and they had a pretty good stock all year round.

Most shops sell all year round, at least online.

Ahhh ok thank you. I suppose I have not noticed high street/supermarkets selling uniform all year as I have never needed to look before.

Thanks for the responses. Had visions of having to fill the wardrobe up now I case of growth spurts Blush

Next sell uniform online the whole year round, so you can restock anytime.

TBH, most infant/primary children end up with trousers up their ankles, shorts tight on their bottoms and girls with riding up summer dresses and greying polo tops come July. Shoes falling to bits and too small! Not much point replacing any of it after the Easter Term.

I've had to buy more through the year when mine have grown, I just buy online, sainsburys and George do click and collect for anything over £15 I think

Every so often M&S have 20% off school wear. Just before the rush starts, for example early July. Worth keeping an eye out

It's just so in your face at this time of year but it is always available either in-store or online, certainly from Asda, Matalan etc. They like to pressure you at this time of year in to thinking you need new but I only get new stuff when my child outgrows his current ones not just because it's a new school year!

I buy it year round from pretty much all the supermarkets. You'll be fine

Sainsbury's usually have some stock in-store and on the website.
