Pregnant on the coil

Has this happened to anyone else?

I haven't had a period in a few months, and I imagined it was due to the mirena settling down. They can be irregular anyway.

I've felt awful for a while now and took a test to put my mind at rest, it's positive, so I'm pregnant.

Absolutely crushed Sad

Oh my what a shock. This happened to my cousin she didn't plan on having a 3rd but her coil failed her too. My doctor keeps pressuring me to have one fitted but I'm very skeptical. All the best with whatever you decide to do.

BarrenFieldofFucks · 05/09/2019 22:19

What a shock. How are you feeling now?

My coil pregnancy is nearly 2 now, and snoozing lightly on me in the throws of a sickness bug. 🤮

I didn't think it could happen, but the doctor didn't seem totally amazed tbh. I had the coil itself removed early on.

TokenGinger · 07/09/2019 10:03

@GreenOrBlue It must be such a shock. I hope you are doing okay Thanks

GreenOrBlue · 07/09/2019 10:14

Thank you all Thanks

Still not sure what to do... it's very confusing.

I've grown to think this little thing is actually quiet sweet. I've been pregnant a lot before (sadly all losses apart from one DC), and they all gave me bad sickness from week 4/5!

This ones been a little gem. Which for some reason makes it all the more harder Sad

Sending good wishes your way, to help you make the right decision for you. I presume your dh knows now? What does he think?

Kiwiinkits · 07/09/2019 13:38

Good luck GreenorBlue Flowers

TokenGinger · 07/09/2019 21:09

It must be so tough, OP. And all the harder knowing how far you are. I hope whatever decision you make brings you peace. I don't envy you at all for being in this position through no fault of your own Thanks

floatinglily · 07/09/2019 23:00

Sorry to see your update @GreenOrBlue. This all must be so difficult for you Flowers

CTRL · 08/09/2019 03:42

My cousin was born clenching his mums coil in his hands Grin

I have no advice apart from good luck OP and I wish you all the best.

I can only imagine how torn you must be feeling, but remember; whatever you decide, I’m sure it will work out in time 💕
