Restless Legs at Work - Advice?

NeverSayFreelance · 29/08/2019 11:51

Hello everyone.

I have RLS which gets significantly worse when I am tired or bored - which I am constantly whilst at work. My legs are always burning and it drives me mad.

Does anyone have any ideas for something I can put under my desk to stretch my legs? Footrest/stool etc? I can buy a simple object to sit my feet on but if there's something specifically designed for people like us who need to move their legs, that would be fab.

Thanks

Horse chestnut tablets.

Soola · 29/08/2019 11:56

Product Description. Horse Chestnut Seed Extract (Aesculus hippocastanum) has been used for centuries to help maintain circulation in the legs. Horse Chestnut Seed Extract contains the naturally occurring Triterpene glycosides believed to be responsible for optimal leg vein health.

I have to have my legs up. I tuck one under me at a time and sit like a flamingo.

NeverSayFreelance · 29/08/2019 20:58

I do the flamingo thing too! Then my leg goes to sleep and I can't get back up Grin

That's it basically, I want to keep my legs elevated. I think I might pop to B&M and see if they have some cheapy thing I can put my legs on

Magnesium and iron supplements worked very well for me and my sister. Have to take them every day though.

I'm just a terrible fidget with my feet, and now I have a kneeling, rocking chair in my office which helps me fidget around - but previously I had a wobble cushion like this which let me fiddle around and raised my feet up a bit. Sitting on the sofa I sit with my feet on a beanbag as I like my feet up but it lets me move around.

Update! I got a foot rest thing where the top rolls backwards and forwards so I can move my feet on it. Work got it for me! Result!

However I really like the look of the wobble cushions and I'm considering getting one for the house.
