Hi, just after some advice about starting couch to 5k the nhs app.
A bit of background - I started running a few years ago. No particular programme, was just quite strict with myself and built up to being able to run 6k sometimes 7. Really enjoyed it and it made me feel good physically and mentally. Always told myself I'd get back into things as a mum.
Fast forward to me having my baby boy. When he was about 6 months old I tried to start jogging but with the sleep deprivation still 'a thing' it just wasn't happening! I gave up and told myself I'd try again when he's older. Now that he's 1 sleep has improved and I feel ready to try again.
My issue is how do I fit in the 3 runs per week? Fiancé works shifts in a stressful job with long hours so sometimes he will be able to have the baby but sometimes not and in my experience if I miss whole weeks from time to time I just won't improve. I have a couple of mummy friends but don't really want to count on them as regular childcare. They've got their own babies and also work. No family nearby at all. Am quite friendly with a neighbour but she works most days.
Had anyone managed to improve their fitness in a similar position and if so how? Is it just a case of running with the baby in the buggy and getting on with it? Tia.
