Which job should I take?

Job 1- my current job
People are super fab- manager totally flexible, can change days last minute etc
Ongoing temp contract so don't know how long I could be there.
Work is very very boring though and soul destroying. Like data input all day long.
Not learning any new skills- work is all same-y.
Because it's a temp job I can take loads of unpaid leave during school hols etc.

Job 2 - had interview and got offered job
No idea how nice they are but they seem nice from interview and talking to other colleagues when waiting.
Don't know how flexible they are but the hours I have been offered do fit around my family.
Can't take tonnes of unpaid leave.
Permanent post.
Job has potential to give me a good stepping stone to other jobs in this field which I've never worked in before.

Pay is similar and commute is literally a couple of minutes difference as both organisations happen to be just round the corner from each other.

What shall I doooo?!
Im scared of leaving the temp job as I really really like it there but they can't offer me anything permanent due to funding. But then the other job I would really like to do too as I would love to work in that field.

Job 2. Life is too short and work is too big part of it to do something souldestroying boring.

KatharinaRosalie · 29/08/2019 13:04

Also, no room for salary negotiations? I've never changed for something that paid the same.

RoosLoos · 29/08/2019 14:00

KatharinaRosalie I know what you mean No room for negotiation but I went for job 2 to break into the field which I know does pay better and more chance of career progression.
