Tattoo Help - What is this letter?

Hi All

I got a tattoo yesterday, I wanted an infinity symbol with a letter in it. They drew the design for me and it was fine but when she tattooed it on the letter was quite thin and it didn't come out as she's hoped.

She was clearly anxious about it and was asking colleagues how to turn it more into the letter I wanted.

I keep looking at it and I'm not sure now so I wanted to ask opinions on what you think it is?

There's not much I can do now but when I left she said I can go back if I'm not happy or if I want her to make it look more like the letter which makes me think it looks awful.

Please help!

It looks like a capital A to me.

Now I see A, now other people have said A.

A mostly, or maybe — with a close look - it might be a dodgy K.

I asked for an A and when she'd finished it looked like a K so she tried to correct it 😔

Did you like it, but then her uncertainty put you off? If you like it, it’s perfect, because that’s all that matters.

I do, she did make me feel unsure. My daughters name begins with A and mine begins with K so it kind of works 😂

If you turn it sideways it definitely looks like an A though

I'm a tattooist, I thought it was an A but there's a line underneath it which doesn't make any sense. Looks as though she's used a liner that's too big tbh.

That doesn't look like an A to me. I don't know what she could do to correct it if you went back though.

I thought L but that letter is significant to me. If I'm honest I saw infinity and a little person, not a letter! It's neatly done though. The issue is probs that an isolated letter in that style doesn't read well. If it was part of a word the brain would see it differently, I think. You know what it is though. I've got an indecipherable one on my abdomen.

An A that is also a K is just perfect for you! When she’s a teenager rolling her eyes at you you will be able to deflect her with your K.

Thanks for your input everyone. I'm still not 100% happy but most people think it's an A so I'll take that. I could go back but I'm not sure what they could even do, I appreciate your honesty 😊

@mordecaithomas you're right, the line underneath wasn't there originally, she said the gap in the A was too small once she'd tattooed it so had to try and rectify it.

It's an A, I like it, infinity symbol with daughter's initial is a lovely idea for a tattoo. You're overthinking it, definitely looks like an A, shes put a doubt in your mind, I really like it, dont go back cos messing with it could ruin it. Iv got 6 tattoos and after each one iv panicked / not been sure they look good or are too big etc. (Mine are big, one on chest, one over my whole shoulder etc) no hiding them in summer Live with it, learn to love it, anyone asks what it is tell them and say "I love it" . Seriously I really like it

I thought A immediately and had to squint to see the K people mentioned. I quite like the style of the letter tbh.
