Climbing the o2

I'm 16 weeks pregnant and wanted to book it for my partners birthday in December but wondering how safe it is for pregnant women? Or am i best just booking it for him and watch on the sidelines?! I don't really know what it involves to be honest but I don't think it's an intense climb. More of a very high incline walk Grin

Why would you even consider this? Besides they wont allow it

I’d be surprised if pregnant women are allowed. The harness probably wouldn’t fit properly and their insurance wouldn’t be happy if a pregnant woman was injured during the climb. Surely their website will tell you for sure - I think it’s called Up at the O2.

Original of course I won't consider it if it's harmful in anyway to the baby which is why I'm asking mumsnet as I assumed it was more of an inclined walk rather than intense climbing.

Look on their FAQ - it’s a big no

“Unfortunately, not. The harness is pretty snug and the climb is physically demanding”

You're not allowed to do it if you're pregnant and if you're 16 weeks now you'll be heavily pregnant by December. Why would you even consider it? The upward climb is quite demanding and you have to keep at a steady pace.

I’ve done it, it’s a gentle walk, and super dull. I would book something else.
