Haha, well done.
Threatening neighbour probably realised there was someone who could be a witness to his side of the conversation so scarpered inside out of earshot.
Our ndns were on holiday until Saturday night, it was quiet, that is how I knew they were away. Saturday night they came home at 1.37am. I know because I heard them. A few minutes later he was hosing the back yard. I got up to close the window only to find it was already closed. The were so loud through closed double glazing, I opened and banged the window closed to give them a hint. The hosing stopped.
Sunday night they were loudly putting glass in their recycling bin kept in their outhouse, and talking loudly, at 2.48am, I know because they woke me, again. Also woke dh who had to be up early for work, and not much wakes him up, even me kicking him to get him to stop snoring.
Monday night I heard them come in, talking very loudly, possibly from a shift at work, some time after 1am, was too tired to check the time this time. Also had to put up with the usual boiling of kettle, using kitchen noises and clear fumbling trying to plug an item (possibly phone charger) in in their bedroom, took them ages and they only flicked one switch. If they had not woken me up in the first place I wouldn't have heard the other noises.
Am trying to pluck up the courage to tell them to stop waking their neighbours up if it happens again tonight. At least if I ask them nicely a couple of times and things don't improve I know who the letting agent is for their house and know they will act if I complain, but I need to ask them directly first.
Let's see how the next few nights go, am off up to bed now.
