Fucking fox just attacked my cat!

I am sick to death of the local foxes, they're bastards. This is the 2nd time my cat's been attacked - last time the fox came in the kitchen! They're savage. And they wreck the flowerbeds/ shit & scent mark. They think nothing of a 6ft fence covered in pyracantha (thorny). Poor, poor little KittyT. Big snuggles tonight.

Oh no!! Poor kitty, is he/she ok?

HappyHammy · 27/08/2019 20:37

that is so upsetting, luckily mine used to sit outside the window looking at them and I think they just got used to her, she must have been frightened, lots of cuddles.

Thankfully, the cat's in one piece, although it may have scratches I can't see under the fur - that happened last time & I only knew when the fur fell out with the scab. But they rolled around the grass quite aggressively & the fox was snarling.

Apparently adult male urine is the thing to repel them. Do you have a DH/DP who could wee around the border of your garden?

I was advised to use ground black pepper as they were digging up my pots. Seems to have worked. I'm surprised you've not been bombarded by "but they're beautiful" and "wouldn't harm a fly".

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/08/2019 21:54

Can you cat proof the garden so they can’t get in?.

SweetKittyT · 27/08/2019 21:58

Sadly I can't proof the garden as they can easily jump our 6ft fences. And they don't give a toss for spikey plants either.
