New carpets

If you were moving into a house on a 6 month let basis, would you replace 2 bedroom carpets (at your cost) because of a bit of paint on them? The paint could be easily covered up by rugs or furniture.

No. Paint is clean dirt. I might if it was "actual" dirt though.

Nooo, bugger that! Dont spend much in rental properties, you will never get it back or benefit in the very long term!

Unless you mean spilled paint as in when my ds dropped a tin of white gloss in dd's room then just shove a rug down!!
