Butlins Bognor Regis

What is it like?

We're Butlins regulars (DS bloody loves it there), we usually go to Skegness as that's our nearest one and we have been to Minehead too but Bognor is the only one with availability for the dates that I need. We've never been to there and I've heard it's a lot smaller than the other 2, will we be disappointed or is it pretty similar?

I havent visited the Butlins but we went to Bognor in the spring and it was very disappointing. I was expecting a cute seaside resort like Lyme Regis or Weymouth but it was pretty dreary. Poundland and Wilkos, not nice cafes and souvenir shops.

If you usually stay on resort I cant help you I'm afraid.

Went to Butlins Minehead, and Bognor (but not the Butlins) decades ago so no help there.
Have you looked on Trip Advisor to get some idea OP?

We go every year ds loves it, not sure how it compares to the others, the hotel or gold apartments are better than the chalets as they are old and run down, they have built a new swimming pool and the kids didn't want to leave it.
Entertainment is also good and the shop on site is quite reasonable.

Bit bored so had a little look for you.

Seems a bit of a mixed bag .

We’ve been 3 times and DD loves it. You need to go for gold and above accommodation though and if you do a food plan the premium one is edible but the basic is rubbish.
The new pool is really good but Ive never been to the others so can’t comment how the facilities compare. Bognor itself it’s a bit run down it’s not the best seaside resort but the beach very close to Butlins and on a sunny day any beach does for the kids.

Thanks all! Just been looking at Trip Advisor and it's got a better rating than Minehead. Butlins isn't for everyone though so I know not every review will be glowing.

My kids love Butlins. Been to both Skegness and Bognor.

The most difference I saw was that Skegness has more apartments and Bognor has the hotel, but less accommodation overall.

I think there was also laser guns in Skegness but not in Bognor. I remember a nursery to leave kids and Bingo in Skegness. Depends on the age of the kids, we took Skegness when kids were smaller, hopefully their website can give you more.

Bognor opened a brand new £40m swimming complex in June and they've also invested millions in their new hotels, knocking down the outdated chalets, building a spa and so on.
The entertainment will be exactly the same as the other Butlins.
Bognor itself has also had millions invested in it in the past few years. It's far from quaint or chic though!
Loads to do in surrounding areas, you won't be bored!
