We have the hottest flat ever it's horrendous. DS 7 months is really really hot and teething.

Now temperature outside has dropped we've opened window, two big fans roving near his cot, he's in a nappy and I'm feeding him (bf) regularly.

Is there anything else I can do??

A cool bath might help him to feel more comfortable, if you’ve not tried that.

I would put a damp flannel or muslin between you when feeding and as above a cool bath, or wipe him down with a cool flannel occasionally.

Hi OP, some research shows that it’s not always best to have fans in as it just moves warm air around and makes you hotter.

If there’s a natural breeze coming through now I’d just open up all the windows in your flat to get some airflow through and turn the fans off.

Hope your DS is ok - I have a very sweaty 10 month old upstairs so I feel your pain.

Frozen bottles of water in front of the fans will help to cool down the air.

Also if he has any waterproof sheets, remove those as it will be cooler without them.

Thank you. There hardly seems to be a breeze so not sure whether it will cool without the fan but I could try.

I'll try your tips!

We really need air con!
