Which school bags are your dd buying if they are moving up to secondary school next month?

We don't seem to have huge restrictions on colour or type of bag but my dd can't decide what to have. I think a rucksack type would be best to hold all the PE kit and books. Are there any that the girls are favouring at the minute?

DD has a black Vans rucksack left over from year 6 so is keeping that for now.

DD has bought a SuperDry rucksack for year 7, was shocked at the £40 price tag but glad to hear they last.

I have one going into her fourth year and one going into her first. They both have Vans (one checked pink type pattern and the other a Marvel one). My eldest used a Converse backpack for two years and it was great. They don't have lockers so they cart everything in and they get the bus in and out so the bags are on the floor, carried out in rain/snow etc and certainly we've had no issues with either the Converse or the Van's with my eldest.

She had the tote/backpack choice - seems to be split right down the middle with her peers. There was much eyerolling when I asked her if she'd rather have a tote - apparently it's a wannabe thing
