Please help me find plus size gym clothes

Just that really

I'm a size 22. Can't believe I've got to this state but I really want to put it right. I like(ed) the gym, so want to get back into it.

With me now being a size 22, I'm finding it difficult sourcing decent gym stuff. Not asking too much just joggers and a baggy t shirt.

Any ideas, tried supermarkets Matalan ètc but no luck

I’m interested in this too. DH has just announced, as we were tucking in to thickly buttered and well-marmaladed toast, with our plates resting on our tummies, that our local gym has a good family membership offer on.

Asos curve

Jenda · 26/08/2019 09:41

I wear leggings from Sainsbury's or Nike with a long vest and then a baggy t shirt underneath. T shirt from new look sized up two or three sizes so it's long and loose!

Not sure on your budget but landsend.co.uk starfish range are great for leggings and track pants.
Other than that I get all mine in the US as Nike and other brands do brilliant ranges.

Darkrainbow · 26/08/2019 09:48

ASOS curve - look on the outlet section too. Primark gym leggings are really stretchy, I think xl is 18-20 but fit bigger. They come in loads of patterns/colours.

lubeybooby · 26/08/2019 09:49

also came to say ASOS

chicken2015 · 26/08/2019 09:51

M and s do some nice gym active wear

Mummyofbabyandcats · 26/08/2019 09:54

Sorry budget = cheaper the better

I had a look at ASOS curve through night and it seemed a bit pricey

Sainsbury's are great and very good value.

gassylady · 26/08/2019 09:55

Next activewear is reasonably priced

BestIsWest · 26/08/2019 09:57

M&S, Next or Tesco are all fine. I am also a 20-22.

Seeline · 26/08/2019 09:57

Have a look at Yours clothing. Not gym wear as such, but decent joggers and cheap T shirts in larger sizes.

AuntieMarys · 26/08/2019 09:59

Sainsbury's Tesco and Next.
Also TK Maxx

FredaFox · 26/08/2019 09:59

M&S outlets are good, I’ve had plenty of leggings there
My issue not many places do them for us fat shorties, legs are always too long but m&s are good

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 26/08/2019 10:08

Have pm'd you OP

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 26/08/2019 10:10

(Oh no I haven't- I can't work out how on the app so will do later when I am on laptop)

chicken2015 · 26/08/2019 10:40

Sainsburys is good quality and good price

SkiingIsHeaven · 26/08/2019 14:53

Sports direct men's section works for me. Not happy but not a lot of choice. Just go for the plain stuff.

Thatmum102 · 26/08/2019 15:23

Same boat! I've just got two pairs from fabletics, the seem to have good reviews I've got highwaisted compression leggings. So hopefully it'll keep me all sucked in.

MrsFrisbyMouse · 26/08/2019 16:51

Sainsbury's or Decathlon for budget stuff.
Or Contra for good but more pricey. But they support Park run, and they are very good quality and the leggings really hold everything in!

Schwibble · 26/08/2019 16:52

George at Asda have some good gym stuff for plus size.

dementedpixie · 26/08/2019 16:53

Curvissa

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 26/08/2019 17:14

There’s an American firm called Zulily that regularly does workout gear. You do have to wait a couple of weeks for shipping though, but I can buy leggings for less than £15. Their sizing is quite small too. I’m a 10, but get Medium. They do a Plus range too.

Or TK Maxx have tops, leggings and sports bras, usually from New Balance, Pineapple etc.

sundaylast · 26/08/2019 17:57

Matalan have some good stuff in bigger sizes that are good prices

Threehoursfromhome · 26/08/2019 18:00

Marks and Spencer sportswear goes up to size 28 and is reasonably priced.
