Help me find this book!

I have searched all over her internet for this book and I cannot find it.

It was from when I was a teenager so late 80s to mid 90s and was a young adult trilogy about a game played by teenagers. Similar to Point Horror and there was a creature behind the game, like a sinister games master.

Help!

The Forbidden Game series by L.J Smith. I loved those.
