Suffering with a lot of anxiety and depression today. DH and kids are out. They wanted me to go with them but I just can't. Sleeping on and off, trying to get some energy to go to the corner shop. This weather doesn't help, sweltering here.

Anxiety and depression can do one!!

You have my sincere sympathy. I’ve been where you are and it’s dreadful. I liken it to being stuck in the phase between a bad dream and wakening up (kind of knowing it’s a dream but can’t get out of it)

Please try to get outside for even a short while. Distraction techniques, eat healthily, get your favourite music on etc anything but go to bed.

Hopefully you’ve been to the GP and have started meds. Get referred for therapy, private if you have to. Read up on CBT I found that very useful.

You will get well, I promise this will pass

Thanks Kingoftheroad. Yes, good analogy! Envious of all those Bally shiney people on social media today 'living their best life'. I know it's all BS but I can't help myself and look at them!

Im struggling today too. I've put it down to exhaustion and feeling under the weather but I know I really cancelled.my social event today due to anxiety.

It's absolutely shot isn't it.

I've say dozing on the garden but still feel edgy and crap.

Hope tomorrow is a better day for everyone

Hope you’re feeling a bit better - I do this to with insta I really wish people would get real instead of portraying this lifestyle that doesn’t really exist
