What could this rash be?

My dd is 11 and has had this rash like ‘thing’ around her nose for the last 3 or so weeks. At first I thought it was an acne like thing as she is heading for that age but I’m not so sure. I know the photo isn’t that clear but it’s like a rough, almost eczema-like rash (she doesn’t suffer from eczema usually).
It seems to be spreading a bit further but I can’t get her into the gp for another couple of weeks.
I’ve tried aqueous cream but that stung and made it worse.
Any ideas?

Possibly perioral dermatitis?
Aqueous cream is now thought to be an irritant if left on skin (ok as a soap substitute to be washed off). If you want to try some moisturisers, have a look at La Roche Posay Toleraine range. It’s very mild so unlikely to aggravate it further. There are obviously lots of other emollients for eczema available but that one is good for the face.

Thanks Arf I did have a little google and it did look very similar to perioral dermatitis.
