I have received a demand for £125 for stopping in a 'no stopping zone' in the Manchester spinningfields area. No signage was visible. DH was driving and stopped for less than 20 seconds to adjust DD's seatbelt as we came out of a car park. It was late on a Sunday and there was no traffic or traffic visible. He literally paused, she pulled her seatbelt out of the door where it was trapped and we set off again.
Does anyone have any advice on disputing the demand? Some online say ignore it, others say you must robustly respond, its so confusing.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Any advice gratefully received.
