ES Parking fine for stopping - Spinningfields Manchester - advice please

I have received a demand for £125 for stopping in a 'no stopping zone' in the Manchester spinningfields area. No signage was visible. DH was driving and stopped for less than 20 seconds to adjust DD's seatbelt as we came out of a car park. It was late on a Sunday and there was no traffic or traffic visible. He literally paused, she pulled her seatbelt out of the door where it was trapped and we set off again.

Does anyone have any advice on disputing the demand? Some online say ignore it, others say you must robustly respond, its so confusing.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Any advice gratefully received.

Do not ignore it, especially as it appears to be a council one (were you on the public highway?).

Post on Pepipoo for detailed advice. Read the various stickies before posting. They're very helpful but don't take kindly to people that don't do their research first!

Apologies, just realised you said it was ES, so not public. Advice still stands.

Do not ignore it. Who have you received the bill from? You need to contact them and say you intend to dispute. Has it been sent to an enforcement agency? Is this your first notice?

I've been away and returned to 2 notices - an initial one and a follow up. The demand is stomp's ES parking enforcement. There was no signage visible :(

From not stomps - weird autocorrect
