Hi. My son is a good reader and has always been interested in books but I sense his interest is trailing a bit. Has anyone got any recommendations for writers/books so I can keep him keen?!
He really loved the Treehouse series, we’ve read most of the David Walliams books, Tom Gates etc, we’ve just read David Baddiel’s Head Boy but it was a bit old for him. He’s not keen on Harry Potter or fantasy stuff, prefers ‘real life’ stories. Currently mad on football!

Thanks for any suggestions.

Thorfinn the nicest Viking series is very funny and easy to read. The Bear Grylls books are a bit torturous for adults but my DS loved all the survival tips!

Has he read the Frankie's Magic Football series?

My 10 year old likes Alex Rider too and young James Bond, but I agree my 8 year old but manage the content yet...
