Please tell me what to do in Bristol

So this is the situation...my daughter is obsessed with going to see the Clifton suspension bridge, and we've promised that we would do so this summer.
We've booked an overnight stay in Bristol and are now overwhelmed by the number of things to do there!
We also have two other children, ages ranging from 17 to 10.
Could anyone please give me any recommendations as to must-see attractions? Thank you!

We aim to please.

Did you understand our accent?

Mackerz · 30/08/2019 12:26

It’s a lovely accent! (From a Northerner).

Agree with all the suggestions so far - definitely docks and SS Britain; Bansky hunting tour and also the Science museum is fantastic. DC loved walking inside the giant hamster wheel. Take a river bus too. That's a fun way to get around. Love that your daughter wants to see the Clifton bridge. I have a big thing for suspension bridges too, so completely get her geeky interest.

Oops - should have RTFT. Glad you loved it. Gorgeous city.

@Showchin2 - glad you had a lovely time.

The accent is brilliant! Loved listening to the locals - hope they could understand us as well (rather broad Yorkshire )
Thanks @Topbird29 - our first visit but hopefully not last! We were so impressed by your lovely city Smile

This is excellent. We have a day to kill in Bristol on Sunday.

My elder daughter (nurse) is just about to move to Bristol (from London) - we had so much fun flat-hunting there earlier this month and just fell in love with it. I can't wait to visit it more often... I'll send her this thread to read.

Another Treasure Trails fan here - I'll definitely be surprising her with a couple of those for the area (well it won't be much of a surprise if she reads this thread Grin

Thanks everyone for all the info - and glad you had a good time, Showchin2
