Anyone else have trouble using their phone sat navs when walking in places you've never been before? Trying to walk from London Bridge to Trafalgar Square after visiting the View from the Shard, the disembodied voice instructed me to walk north west. Well, I don't have a built in compass so which way is buggering north west? I walked the way the arrow was pointing and ended up at a building site. Took me 20 minutes and a good deal of head scratching, consulting my ancient A-Z of London and the maps on the street, going in the wrong directions 3 times, to eventually get onto the riverside path (all of 200 metres away!) and get going.
I have no trouble using it when I'm driving, so what the hell goes wrong when I'm walking?!
