Book recommendations please?

I’m looking for a book to give to my Nan for her birthday.

My grandad recently passed away so I want something a bit light hearted. She’s 86 and is quite conservative so no swearing/ sex.

I’ve looked on amazon but don’t really know what to search for so has anyone got any recommendations for where I can start?

Can't go wrong with a book from Persephone Classics. They publish books that have gone out of print, mostly by female authors. I recently bought The Diary of a provincial Lady and Miss Buncle's Book for a great Aunt. They're both funny and gentle with happy endings!
