90’s nostalgia thread

Just taking a look at an old photo album and as a teenager in the 90’s am cringing at some of my looks Blush

Thin eyebrows plucked to death (yup I regret that now)
Too dark lip liner with lipstick 5 shades lighter
Brown eyeshadow up til the eyebrow line 😬
And the hair... curly bob (think Darth Vader length) with a fringe hairsprayed straight up!

What were your make up or fashion disasters?

Not mine but DH had a hideous haircut (I cannot even refer to it as a hair 'style') when I met him in 1993.

Full on curtains at the front and a shaven undercut at the back Shock

I'm not sure what I was thinking tbh Grin

Heather Shimmer lipstick!
Roll on body glitter (my penpal from the US sent me some from Bath and Body Works. I loved that stuff!)
Random yellowy brown streaks in my hair from Sun-in (just looked this up and you can still buy it!)

Hair mascara, I favoured a bright blue
Glitter spray, everywhere!
Army surplus store clothing. Green army shirt, woollen jumper and trousers with a hundred pockets..
Doc Marten boots with beads threaded on to the laces.

In my madchester period: 30 inch flares, massive baggy tops and lime green kickers. You couldn't really tell that I was a girl, my entire body was hidden in bagginess.
In my grunge period: little flowery tea dresses, baggy cardis, thick black tights or leggings, black docs. My mum used to say I looked like Max Wall...

Yes I also used Sun-in aged 17 & it probably looked awful.
I also went through a grunge phase with (fake) DMs, men's cardigans, baggy checked shirts etc.

But some of my 90s clothes were really nice once I got past the grunge phase & I had a good figure to show them off.

I remember wearing a lot of velvet vest tops with black trouser flares from New Look around 1997.
