...........my Halo Hermes delivery Driver is lovely! Always knocks loud enough for me to hear, and waits for me to answer the door. If I'm not in he calls back later - all this with a smile. It's lovely!

What's yours?

My Hermes driver is also lovely, I went to school with him and when I have a delivery he texts me to find it what time I'll be home or if I'm somewhere local like school drop-off or the village cafe he delivers it to wherever I am.

GreenwoodLane · 23/08/2019 21:07

Mine is too.
And terribly well spoken. Has gone out of his way to be helpful before now.

Unusual I know.

ISmellBabies · 23/08/2019 21:10

Ours always brings biscuits for the dogs, they love her.

justthecat · 23/08/2019 21:13

Is this the same guy ? 😏

snozzlemaid · 23/08/2019 21:13

Mine's lovely too. She leaves her mobile number for me to call when I get home and she comes back with the parcel.

GigiIdid · 23/08/2019 21:19

I have a wonderful Hermes driver too! She sends a text to check I’ll be in and will keep my parcel until her next shift for me if not. She’s lovely and it’s so appreciated.

Amys136 · 23/08/2019 21:21

I’ve found it weird that since I’ve been on Mat leave I’ve started to recognise all the different delivery drivers. This thread is making he feel less weird

MarieKlepto · 23/08/2019 21:22

My Hermes delivery man is a true old fashioned gent, complete with manicured moustache. Lovely man. My DPD guy is 6ft 5in of Scandinavian god wrapped up in a dry brand of sarcasm. Dark secret: I have been known to fluff my hair up before answering the door to him. My Parcelforce guy used to be a right moaner, never happy. The cheery young Spaniard who has replaced is most acceptable.

DontCallMeShitley · 23/08/2019 21:37

My Hermes man is also very nice, I know where he will leave my parcel if I am out, although he forgets where the safe place is, and he leaves a note to let me know. Worth a gift at Christmas.

Yodel men are also usually good, one is bouncy and has a funny accent, always friendly, the other one is quieter and very polite. Sometimes there is another one that hardly speaks but he is also polite.

UPS however, always ask me to take neighbours parcels but never a thank you, except one nice man that reeks of overpowering perfume.

TheFaerieQueene · 23/08/2019 21:43

My Hermes driver is fantastic. He always waves if he sees me walking my dog, even if he isn’t delivering to me. Great guy.

M0reGinPlease · 23/08/2019 21:53

Lovely here too! Let's DD (3) sign for everything which delights her.

31RueCambon · 23/08/2019 21:55

Is this an infomercial or whaaat??? Is. Going. On.

LemonRedwood · 23/08/2019 21:57

I'm always out when Hermes delivers. My DPD driver is lovely though

OhTheRoses · 23/08/2019 21:59

Don't know about Hermes but my tree man is amazing. Twinkle in the eye, blonde, hench, scales trees in his shorts to pollard, lovely conversation only four years older than ds and has three under five and remains amiable. It's a tragedy I'm nearly sixty. Slaps 25 year old self.

Champagne791 · 23/08/2019 22:02

My Hermes is wonderful too, always drops our parcels off very early when DH is leaving not to wake me and the babies up.

FlamingoFlamenco · 23/08/2019 23:11

Hurrah for the delivery men!

@MarieKlepto - your description of your dpd 6' 5" Scandi god made me crunch my hemp seed museli a tad too hard!

@OhTheRoses - you have a tree man?? Hmmm - eyes up tree at end of garden and wonders if I could 'borrow' him....just for pollarding of course!

and special mention to the biscuit carriers, moustache twirlers , and bouncy ones.

We luffs them!!

OhTheRoses · 23/08/2019 23:22

@flamingoflamenco. Of course you cd borrow him. He's £500 for a half day. He's called Josh and trims my hazelnuts, alemachia, magnolia, rhododendron, beech, holly andvexotic stuff to perfection

Blutopia · 23/08/2019 23:28

Oh my Hermes man is lovely as well. We know each other by name because he introduced himself when we first moved there. He knocks loudly and waits, if we're not in he knows he can let himself in the back gate and drop the parcels in our garden trunk.

He has even taken returns from me when I haven't booked them properly, he does it all for me. He ALWAYS has a pen in his mouth and his jeans are three sizes too big for him, but he is a very good bloke and so reliable.

Fantababy · 23/08/2019 23:32

My Hermes guy is shite. He ignores my requests to leave stuff in the porch and sends me photos of my front door. Angry

AreWeAnywhereNear · 23/08/2019 23:38

Sorry thought you were Dave

HairyDogsOfThigh · 24/08/2019 00:02

The Hermes delivery drivers round here are useless. Whenever i buy something and realise it's going to be 'delivered' by Hermes, my heart sinks as i know it will arrive at least 3 days late and be completely battered.

Progress2019 · 24/08/2019 00:17

Our Hermes guy is lovely. The DPD man makes me weak at the knees - he’s gorgeous, and has the most beautiful welsh accent.

Best delivery man ever but I can’t remember what company he was from. I’d dropped my daughters at school, and he rang to say he was trying to deliver my tumble drier, was I anywhere near. I said I was just walking home if he could hang on ten minutes, and he said he’d come and give me a lift!

Each2TheirOwn · 24/08/2019 00:20

My Hermes delivery driver is a lazy, lying b@st@rd! Count yourselves lucky 🍀

Micah · 24/08/2019 00:25

Hermes “can’t” deliver to me as i don’t have a house number.

I don’t use anyone who delivers via hermes as they apparently can’t find building with names rather than numbers.

70% if the time the parcel gets returned before it leaves the depot. The rest it goes out for delivery and is returned as address incorrect- no house number.

They seem to have much more of an issue around christmas Hmm. That time if year i can guarantee it will be returned at the distribution hub.

M0reGinPlease · 24/08/2019 07:48

Can I shout out for Parcelforce too? My Parceforce man is even lovelier than the Hermes man and is fit as to boot!
