omg, so 1980s!! Long quiz says I'm a thinker/investigator (5).This fits.
Short quiz had me toss up betw 1, 9 & 6!

I thought this was the personality test that had 70% of people as 'slaves'. I wonder which test that was.

How do you get a number. I did a test and it gave me a type, but no number?

I couldn't figure mine out for YEARS - it drove me insane. Then I was in this MBTI/Enneagram group on FB and got into an argument with somebody and they pegged me as a 9. I am pretty sure they are right although my mum is a much closer fit to the description than I am. It's still the one which fits me the best.

I find it really confusing though.

I am fairly sure DS1 is a 7 and DH is a 1. DH and I understand each other very well but we struggle to relate to DS1's motivations and drives sometimes and I actually think this is why.

Do they? According to Wikipedia the validity has not been checked so just for fun.

I'm a 2 - the helper. I recognise some of these traits in myself. Particularly that if I don't think I am pleasing others or being useful, I find it very hard to deal with. Other traits not so much.

As ever, though, I think these tests are self-selecting. People pick the responses which accord with the characteristics they value, more than those they actually have (as its very difficult to identify these in your own personality). So I think I am a helper because those are the traits I value, more than because those are the traits I know I definitely have.

I think that's how this one works though isn't it? It's about what you strive for, what motivated you, what you fear etc. It's not like the MBTI where you are what you are even if you wish you could be more extraverted or whatever.

The site I used said I was a 9 “sexual variant” because I value intimacy more than anything .
That bit’s crap but the rest of the description was spookily right.
