Baby trousers for winter

Hi guys. Me again.

If there is somewhere better to post this please let me know.

Just starting to buy one some larger size jumpers for my babies autumn/winter wardrobe. But have no idea what trousers go with jumpers?? All summer he has been in joggers as they go with T-shirt's. But IMO jumpers and joggers are a no no??

I don't think I like the idea of him in jeans all the time? Or maybe soft ones with the elastic pull on waist rather than a button would be ok?

Trivial I know but I have no idea!

For reference, DS is 7 months now so come October-December he will be 9-12 months.

Thanks!

Tesco do some nice thick jogger bums for baby's.

Fred and Noah do lovely thermal leggings.

Mine wore joggers and tights underneath when it was cold.

Jeans are fine. They are soft denim like material with stretchy waists. They're not like adult jeans.

Maxomorra do the warmest, most comfy velour trousers in gorgeous colours (stretchy wide waist and cuffs too that you can turn over to make each size last for longer). Try babipur.co.uk for them!

Babies are wrapped up in a blanket/cosy toes or padded all in one when they’re out and about, it’s not like when we go out with just trousers on.

Leggings are super comfy and easy to whip off in case of poo explosions.

Babipur do a great selection of leggings.

They look adorable in dungarees from about 6 months old until age 2/3 (no good for potty training!)

@DappledThings thank you!! I'm going to try them on him in a shop somewhere.

I don't know why I feel like babies can't try clothes on like adults 😂

Leggings or joggers are much more practical for crawling than stiff denim. Obv the jeggings style denim is fine, just like leggings. They need to be able to move their bodies. As pp, this the indoor layer so it depends on your indoor temperature. Outside they will have full body outdoor stuff on. My kids have never worn many jumpers as they get too hot actually, but I recognise that is not usual.

Agree Jojo knitted leggings are greatzm. They do an extra thick version for really cold days and also some plain colours as well as all over pattern and picture on bum, depending on which style you like.

I got some plain navy blue extra thick ones which get worn a lot as they go with anything.
