Time for a feel good thread!

What do you love about your DC?

I'll go first I want to show off

  • His super soft, super fine white blonde hair
  • His massive grin
  • The sounds he makes, especially when he wakes up in the morning
  • The way he rests his head against my chest when he's tired
  • How he wants to do everything himself
  • How he perseveres without getting bored.

He's 11 months :)

DD burped loudly today. I asked her if she'd do that when she's older and has a boyfriend, and she shrugged and said, "I'll get one that finds my burps funny."

Love her attitude Grin

My ds 15 who knocked on my bedroom door late last night -
"so" he said.
"about these trainers I want....."
And proceeded to take one of my pillows and plonked himself at the foot of the bed wearing just boxers, and showed me various ones he has seen online!!
He gave me a hug and said thanks when I agreed to pay the shortfall!
Too many dc and tales to tell but he is a star!!

Aw, your DC sounds very comfortable around you!

DS has just got to the age where when we have to refuse him something and we explain why, he goes "yeeeeeah... I guess you're right..." and potters off. I love his reasonableness and hope it stays!

I love that they:

Are kind
Are best mates
Are brave, and fiercely passionate about things that matter to them, like LGBTQ rights
Are empathetic
Have great senses of humour
Talk to us
Disagree with us, and argue their corner
Are smart
Are not conceited
In the main they toe the line, and we're incredibly lucky in how little grief they give us
Are good friends to their friends.
Don't take any shit
We can all enjoy holidays and meals together
Can be in the middle of a brutal fight with each other and instantly clan up and fight back to back if someone gives one of them any grief

Ds 4 was helping with cleaning the rabbits out and was carrying the dustpan and brush. I heard ddog yelp and turned round. Ds was standing with a wobbly lip saying he was so sorry he banged into ddog by accident. "did something not nice by accident"
He loves the ddogs and was so upset.
One ddog joins him for his bedtime story every night...

Ds1 is 3 and says "sorry that was my fault" when he apologises for something. It's so cute! He always says "please" after yes and "thank you" after no. He sings along to any song by repeating the last word. He's very cute!

DS2 is 19 months and loves dinosaurs and lions. He communicates in "roars". He says "awww" when he gives a cuddle and reminds me of the dog from "up" when someone knocks at the door "door...door" and looks around like a meerkat Grin

DS4 helps DD2. We went out today and they were playing and she couldn't see me (in the exact same place I'd been all morning) and he helped her walk over to me.

I turned volume up in car for 4yr old dd by request and she turned to me totally deadpan saying "you're good to me aren't ya" Grin

She has spent last 2 hours having a full conversation with herself in her bedroom, playing both roles but using different voices. Overheard the following:
I have a school uniform do you have one too?
No I don't wear uniform. I just go to school naked. Grin

She's ace.

Super proud of my DD of late. Last summer was a bit of a 'either shes not going to make it or I'm not' tug of emotional war. Shes 5 now and this year has just begun speaking with much less jargon. Today I witnessed her say hello to another little girl with a toss of her hair and batting her lashes, like a little diva. Shes so polite even when she has a tantrum. She stamps her foot, crosses her arms and says "I'm not very happy about this mummy."🤣 Oh I love her.

DadCanIHaveAZedgie · 23/08/2019 19:47

He is always genuinely pleased (and surprised) when I wear a dress or something he considers pretty, he told me "you are lubbly mummy" this morning, completely out if nowhere.

He is hilarious, genuinely has got comedy timing and irony. He's just getting into superheroes and finding his interests and loving life.

He's gorgeous and full of ideas and chatter and fun. He's 2.9 and the centre of our world.
