After a discussion on my FB about sharing of GCSE results, DCs' amazing achievements, and how (in the words of a friend) a bit of British understatement would not go amiss, I was wondering what Those Parents would have shared in medieval times?
"We are so proud of little Aelfric. He's on the KIng's jousting team AND he survived the Black Death. Not many can boast of that!".
Just the right combination of self-promotion and subtle dig, I feel.
