Argh the waiting is driving me crazy

DP has basically told me he's 'waiting until he's got enough money to buy a ring' then he's going to propose. He's constantly dropping hints, saying things like 'when we get married...'It's driving me crazy. He could propose with a hula hoop for all I care!

How do I back off and stop wondering when it's going to happen? I'm behaving like a bloody school girl.

If you've agreed to get married, you're engaged already, right?

We don't have children together but 3 between us. It's bloody ridiculous, I swore I'd never get married again and he's just swooped in and totally changed my mind. There is a part of me trying to be practical but heart is most definitely winning this battle.

It sounds ridiculous when we have talked about it, but I don't feel it's 'official' until he's actually asked the question.

1. buy packet of hula hoops
2. eat most of hula hoops to calm nerves
3. propose to him

I have told him I'd accept a hula hoop ring!

He's also mentioned how next year is a leap year. Might have to resort to that if he doesn't come up with the goods before that. Though my parents would probably kill me I've not even broached it with them yet.

Forgot to add, try to leave some different sized hula hoops so one at least has a chance of fitting his finger.
