Whilst the teens are celebrating their success or crying over their failure ..... what would you get as a parent?

C in cookery
B in taxi driving
D in homework help
A* in patience

A in cooking
A in chauffeuring
B in homework help...would be an A if they actually listened to me!
B in patience normally but it's the school holidays so I think I'm failing that!

D in cooking ( how dare I make them eat veg😂 it would be an A if they could eat chicken burgers and ice cream every day😂)

A* in driving and not hitting the kangaroo on the way home this evening

D as it’s so unfair they have to have lights out on school nights by 9:30pm ( apart from Wednesday, as it’s cadet night) they are 13 and 15. I would be given an A if they could go to bed later and wake after 9am!!!

A** for problem solving
A* in being in two places at the same time
A* for diplomatic responses to outfits / haircuts (for both sexes)
A* for absorbing anxiety, misery, upset
A* for constantly running multiple diaries in my head

C for chauffeuring. Used to be A but I make them get Ubers more these days.

D for feigning interest at 10.30pm on a week night in some perceived tricky teenage social interaction, probably from Snapchat, that could have been discussed when I was still semi-conscious over dinner.

E for enthusiasm for providing meals and packed fucking lunches. 20 years of catering has absolutely numbed my enthusiasm in the kitchen.

I shall award myself a 9 in holding back the relieved tears when my beautiful boy managed to get all 5’s and 6’s!

Doesn’t sound much but he’s had to work so very hard to achieve that after pretty devastating mock results and the expectation that he would probably have to retake.

He’s a superstar!

I’m now crying typing this but he can’t see me so it’s okay

U for quality time spent together because I'm frequently at fucking work.

A* in travel and tourism - we had the best holidays ever apparently.
Scraped a D at teenage dramas really struggled with the middle teen years.
