Has anyone ever donated a tent?

I'm guessing a charity somewhere collects them? I have a huge 8 man tent that i no longer use but can't seem to find much online about donating them.

This is the first charity I found when Googling. There may be others.

Maybe get in touch with local guides/brownies/scouts?

Help refugees. They need tents in the calais jungle.

Local homeless charities will take them (and sleeping bags etc). Call them and ask. I think the Samaritans do too.

It's only 2 and 3 person tents that Help Refugees want unfortunately.

Your local church might find it useful - our church goes to Christian festivals/camp type things each year and we have a stock of spare camping equipment, so that anyone who wants to go but doesn't have/can't afford tents etc isn't excluded.
