Feeling really sad for no reason today

Have been feeling a little low the past couple of days, but today I'm feeling very sad and tearful. I'm sure it'll pass as I expect it's down to tiredness and having an awful lot to get done before starting a new job in September.

I just needed to get the above out without worrying family (they currently have more than enough to deal with, which is probably another factor in my mood today), so please feel free to ignore this post. I am positive I'll feel better in a couple of days.

Think I'll go and have a good cry for a bit and then wash my face, pull myself together and get on with it. After a nice cuppa tea of course!

I’m the same OP. A cup of tea will be nice, I’ll join you 😊 Is there anything bothering you that you could do something productive about- maybe even just making a list?

I get like this too sometimes and I find that letting myself have a really good cry is cathartic. If I can't just let it out then I turn to music or tv/film that I know will set me off.
If you have stuff going on, even if it's small stuff, sometimes the emotion bulds up without you noticing because you are on autopilot and busy and then you have a day like this where the sadness creeps in.
You are not alone. It's OK to feel like this and it's good that you're acknowledging it is transitional x

Thank you both. Sorry you're feeling the same Name, a cup of tea with you sounds grand :-).
A list is a good idea, I will make one this afternoon.
You're right queen, I think it is a build-up of lots of little things surrounding a couple of big things. I might make a list of those too, and see if I can come up with either solutions or coping mechanisms.
Thank you for understanding, both of you. I can stop beating myself up so much for feeling this way when others have it a thousand times worse. Flowers

Sympathy here. Sometimes you just need to get it out. Flowers

We all get days like that. I haven’t for a while but today my dad text me to ask “can you talk” and I knew something was up.

My aunt (his sister) has been diagnosed with cancer. She had breast cancer 26 yrs ago and has been clear till now. It appears tobe in her bones. Such an active wonas, walking hills and mountains daily whatever’s the weather.

When my mum died 11 yrs ago she was like a surrogate to me. Dad has already list a sister and brother to illness quite a few years ago when they were young.

Im having a nice cuppa and a biccie now.

Ah Flowers to you all. I’m exactly the same today, woke up feeling very sad. I’ve been for a run in the hope it would help but it hasn’t. I hope we all feel at least a little better tomorrow.
