Was hoping someone on here is...,I have fractured my knee (not the kneecap) 2 weeks ago through falling and landing on my knee, had x rays done a day after and been told today It’s broken, but was trying to find more info on the sort of break. I couldn’t remember exactly what they said- but basically it’s that the bones have pushed or been forced in on themselves.. what is the actual name for that kind of break and what treatment would normally be done for this please. Tried googling but it’s not clear/or I’m not being clear enough about what it is!

Compression fracture?
Fractures are usually described in terms of the type of break rather than the cause of the break
Some described here:

Could be compression fracture, they did say compression I think and I’m going to fracture clinic so can ask more then, just it was a bit of a blur today so was wondering. (I was shocked that I’d broken it!)

Any other advice about possible treatment options for this whilst I wait for a fracture clinic appointment?
