licking the spoon?

May sound very silly question. I'm just baking a cake and I licked the spoon which also has a bit of raw egg on it. was that ok?

Obviously not gonna do it again. Very early pregnancy x

Lick the spoon?

I eat the stuff, enough for a few cupcakes.

Still alive, been doing it for years!

It's fine. So long as they're Lion stamped eggs it's now considered safe for pregnant women to eat raw or lightly cooked eggs. quadram.ac.uk/new-fsa-advice-eating-runny-eggs/

You will be fine. They advise not eating and drinking a lot of things during pregnancy, half of them people don't even know about and eat them without realising.

Yes you’ll be fine but I wouldn’t do it again as it can upset your stomach.
When I was pregnant I actually gave up eating eggs.

Licking the spoon and scraping the bowl is the best bit about making a cake. It was our treat as kids, and it's my kids' treat now.
