I wouldnt, I had a cut like this from a kitchen knife and it needed stitches.

UrsulaPandress · 20/08/2019 18:11

Wap a plaster on it.

That doesn’t need stitches in my totally none medical opinion.

AnnieDianaLulu · 20/08/2019 18:22

Okay thank you

You can buy steri strips in the supermarkets if it would make it feel more secure but I wouldn't get that stitched.

QueenOfPain · 20/08/2019 18:24

Steri strips should do it.

QueenOfPain · 20/08/2019 18:24

One either side and then use then to pull the edges together.

Raera · 20/08/2019 18:29

What did you cut it on? If broken glass, it's needs checking for foreign body in there

AnnieDianaLulu · 20/08/2019 18:30

Was just a knife :)

If out some steristrips on. Although I had similar, on other side of my finger and ended up going to a&e as if cut down to the tendon. Still just needed steri strips.

Raera · 20/08/2019 18:33

I hope you didn't get blood in your dinner!

SpeckleDust · 20/08/2019 18:36

Another vote for steri-strips.

I cut the end of my finger with secateurs a while back (clever, I know). I stuck a couple of steristrips over it then covered it with a couple of plasters and left it alone for a week. Healed beautifully.

Brigante9 · 20/08/2019 19:24

Steristrips to help it stick back together. I did similar, down to the bone cutting up a big cauliflower.

MitziK · 20/08/2019 19:59

Best to get it checked out - steristrips might not be enough due to the location and it could need cleaning out.

I had an awful cut on my finger using a rotary cutter, I pushed down on it forgetting it didn’t have a guard. Steristrips and a finger dressing for a few days done the job. Bled like stink, and I’ve got a scar and numbness now mind you!

Trethew · 20/08/2019 20:05

Went to minor injuries with this and they didn’t stitch it. Just dressed it with tight bandage so I couldn’t bend it
