Cheese cake base, cream jelly top..

My grandad used to make this, before he past away. This was decades ago. Nobody can tell me what this thing was.

I'm trying to make it. Figure it out.

Basically. It's a biscuit base. Like you'd have in a cheese cake.

The top is an opaque jelly.

I think the top is a jelly made with cream.

Do I cook the biscuit base? I'm worried that when I pour the jelly mixture in, the base will go soggy.. or will the base soak up some of the jelly mix and then set with the biscuit in it?

Is it like a panna cotta?

Sounds like a jelly piece as we call them here in Scotland. Bottom is nice biscuits crushed up and mixed with butter, middle is condensed milk with gelatin and the top is raspberry jelly but made with half the amount of water so it set firmer.

Made them last week. Taste so good but takes the best part of a day to make them with having to set each layer.
