Phone just rang (landline)

Answered it and pause and when about to hang up get a recorded message to say that they are calling about the western union payment using my visa (can't remember if said credit or debit) card then said to confirm press 1.

Obviously I just hung up!

I don't have visa credit (it's a MasterCard) and there's not those funds in my debit card account 1 week before payday 😂🙈

Googled the number they rang from and it isn't even a number that comes up.

I knew it was a scam from the line ‘my landline rang’ this is why we don’t have a landline any more. It was just scams.

Pancake I am actually at the point where I am looking into getting rid of mine.

I need broadband but both ds and I have unlimited calls on mobiles so seems a waste? Everyone calls my mobile and as you say - landline just always seems to be recorders message.

Look for landline free broadband or fibre.... That doesn't need a line at all.

I get loads of scam calls on my mobile, not many on my landline. (Though that is fairly new and I rarely give that one out)

We got rid of ours. Every call was a scam and my home is my 'safe place' and it was freaking me out. Life is more peaceful now.
