UTI - does it needs seeing tonight ?

I’ve had 4 or 5 UTIs (proven) in the last two months , admitted to urology ward last weekend for monitoring for a few hours, scan , bloods and pain relief as they were concerned it was a systemic infection (HR and BP were too high) . Discharged home about half eleven at night with dihydrocodeine and antibiotics but told to come back if worse .

When I got home the GP told me to stop the antibiotics they’d asked me to start taking in hospital as she wanted proof I had a UTI first - not taking the hospital’s word for it ... On Friday ,they asked for a sample - no one has phoned me since so I’m assuming that was totally normal .

I’m back to severe pain tonight and burning after peeing , usual warning signs of an infection .

I have a very long term history of bladder problems with probably upwards of 50-70 infections since I was a toddler, have had surgery before, waiting on more and there’s reasons why I get so many infections - but the waiting list for help is about three years long, despite them saying it’s an urgent problem now .

I’m worried GP thinks I’m making a fuss over nothing , but I’m starting to get dreadfully sore again tonight and don’t want to spend another night like this . Should I ring 111 (who I know will want me down at local casualty) or just treat with cystitis sachets tonight and try see someone tomorrow ?

Hope you feel better soon - sweetcures D mannose do next day delivery. I prefer the powder (they do it in tablet form but I feel the powder works faster and also encourages me to drink More water with it)
A previous poster is correct it only works if your issue is ecoli based but it's worth a go and it has no side effects (I even took it pregnant)
