What was this soap? Heartbreak High?

This is driving me nuts!
It was Australian I think (or American?)
Mid nineties

All I can remember is all these teens living in tents in a big building. Two floors. There was a club or bar or something too.

I’ve googled and it might be Heartbreak High, but I’m not 100% because I can’t find mention of the tents. I could be dreaming up that bit of course. Help!

Was it the tribe? Post apocalyptic all the adults had been wiped out by a virus and the kids formed tribes. The mall rats lived in the mall? Loads of crazy makeup.

I rewatched loads of it on you tube web heavily pregnant and had raging insomnia

I vaguely remember Heartbreak High and don't recall any tents.

Definitely about 10 girls and boys in one building, not separate rooms but separate shacks/curtained areas/tents/huts.

Heartbreak High... forgot all about that programme, it was so good

Was it set in New Zealand? Don’t remember tents but it certainly had that vibe- lots of unlooked after teenagers.

The Tribe was set in NZ (just been googling to see whether it had tents!)

The one I remember was quite surfy I think so could be NZ or Aus or California

Round The Twist was Australian but the main family lived in a light house....

Yes, Heartbreak High had a warehouse type thing in it.

Possibly with tent like materials and curtains .

It was a warehouse but had lots of them living there and for privacy I think they did have tent type sheets over the bedroom “quarters”

Hbh had 4/5 kids each season living in a warehouse ( and a car in the warehouse).
They had a beach, obv few surfing scenes.

There was an episode of My So Called Life where Ricky got kicked out by his uncle. He ended up on a warehouse with loads of homeless teenagers although can't remember if any were in tents. It's probably my fave episode of MSCL. It was round Christmas time.

Not sure if that's any help but My So Called Life was the first proper teen drama before things like Dawson's Creek and One Tree Hill etc. It had Claire Danes and Jared Leto in it.
