Need a nice, classic, smart work bag. This ticks all those boxes but it has no inside pockets and doesn't have much by way of a closing mechanism.

So, I got a £100 voucher from work as a year end thank you kind of deal. Shall I use it towards this handbag?

Is the handbag v expensive for what it is, or is it a classic (that helpfully fits a laptop bag)?

Brand Alley often have bags at reduced prices. Ridley is a particular favourite. I paid less than £100 for a Radley tote.

There's nothing objectively wrong with it but I don't think you're getting much for your money there. It doesn't appear to have metal get to protect the base, it doesn't close, it's not lined... I would hold out for something that meets your criteria better.

I have one that looks almost identical from H&M. But it zips up! I wouldn’t spend the £100 gap on it. Maybe buy one of the cheaper ones? There are lots of black ones on the JL website.

I have that bag from a few seasons ago but got it for 175 ish in the sale - I wouldn’t pay full price for it, it’s not special enough or conveniently designed enough for me.
